Ryan is dvla’s driver enquiries service design lead. Senior software engineer james alfei has been working at dvla for over a year now. It’s been a couple of weeks now since the sprint 14 event hosted by gds in central london. Before i started i just thought “cool, i’m going to help people tax their cars”, but it’s so much more than that. We’ve started a 4 week pilot of our v5c on demand service. It’s now been 5 months or 12 ‘sprints’ since view driving record moved into public beta (soon to be renamed view driving licence for its ‘live’ launch later this month) and we have been busy acting on the feedback that our users have given throughout this time.
